What are Intramurals?
- Intramurals are held at lunch and after school
- There are two "focuses". One is on participation. The other is on competition.
- They have very minimal equipment and rules so it's easy to set up and play
- Teamwork is very important
- Do not have to be skilled to play, all you need is an interest.
Do you have to pay?
Yes, it is necessary to pay 3$, but the money is going towards "Super Team T-Shirts." Those are t-shirts are awarded to the team with the most points at the end of the season. The winning team will be allowed to design their own t-shirts.
Participation Focus
- Teams will be given points for participation as well as points for wins.
- 3 Points for a Win, 2 points for a Tie, 1 point for a Loss, and 1 point for each participating player.
- The purpose of Intramurals is to get students active.
- Anyone can come and join. If enough people join there will be divisions (Senior 11&12's Junior 9&10), co-ed, male, female.
- Don't need gym clothes just a pair of running shoes
Competitive Focus
- Teams are awarded points for wins and ties.
- Focus still on fun, sportsmanship, team play, and being active.
- Do not have to be skilled to take part.
